~~~ What Is Bandwidth Theft ~~~
|
Everything shown on a webpage takes up a certain amount of bandwidth
from the host server. Bandwidth theft is simply hot linking to a file from one website to be used on
someone elses website. A prime example of this is linking to an image from one site to post on
a page at a different site without permission to do so. The image might be free for your use
but the bandwidth is NOT. So unless you wish to pay for the bandwidth of a site that you're
hot linking from, I strongly suggest that you don't hot link at all!
